DAN EMKE APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF OCEANIC WORLDWIDE
March 1, 2005 - San Leandro, CA - Bob Hollis, Oceanic Worldwide founder and CEO, announced, effective immediately, Dan Emke, has been appointed as President of the company.
Most recently, Emke served as President of AERIS, a responsibility that he will maintain. "I'm excited to announce Dan's appointment to President," said Hollis. "Dan has demonstrated a passion for innovative products and programs that unleash new customer value, creating new opportunities for Oceanic. He brings strategic and operating experience, and inspirational leadership to this role that will drive Oceanic to growth and profitability."

A veteran of the dive industry who began his career at Oceanic in 1983, Emke rejoins the company having spent the last seven years as President of AERIS, Oceanic's sister company.
Dan began his career at Oceanic in 1983 as Sales Manager. Three years later he moved to New York to serve as Oceanic's Regional Sales Manager for the North East territory. Dan returned to San Leandro in 1997 to help launch AERIS.
Emke has recently been elected to the DEMA board of directors. He holds a Marketing degree from the University of San Francisco.
